2007 Annual Meeting

MHCS Board Room
Present were Gail Brand, Jack Carlson, Pat Coldiron, Vicki Duey, Derek Effle, Denise Janssen, Ron Minchow, Monique Ruby, Kathy Ruzicka, Marlene Uhing, Kevin Wingard and Lana Zumbrunn. Ex-officio members present were Lisa Bennett, Tammy Stuhr and Laura Vandenberg.
Guests present were Bonnie Hentzen, Nancy Dyas, Bruce Dickinson, Lori Williams, Sue Imig, Trish Croghan (for Wendy Elston), Bob Fiala (for Roger Glawatz) and Mary Koci.
Wingard called meeting to order at 12 p.m. Bennett introduced guests and board members introduced themselves. Pizza and drinks were served for lunch.
Giving an annual progress report on their focus areas were:
Stuhr, Afterschool Programs
Ruzicka, Aging Servies
Williams, Interagency and End of Life
Brand, Family and Children, Family Nights
Ruby, CASA
Janssen, Pretrial Diversion
Zumbrunn, Economic Development
Effle, Health and Mental Health, upcoming funding structure changes
Bennett, BRIDGES, Youth Center and TeamMates
Dyas is a membership specialist with the Girl Scouts Homestead Council. She discussed her responsibilities with the Girl Scouts.
Uhing gave an overview of 2006 BRIDGES financial statement.
Fiala reported that Seward’s Lied Senior Center is celebrating it's ten-year anniversary on February 4.
Zumbrunn reported on economic development’s new user board. The board is a more public forum for economic development issues. It will begin meeting the second Tuesday of each month.
Wingard adjourned the meeting at 12:58 p.m.
